CALL FOR PAPERS

The Review calls for papers submitted at the Fourth Conference for Economic Philosophy. Papers directly related to this edition’s conference theme are welcome. Within this call, contributors should send their papers to the address philoeco2018@sciencesconf.org

The enlightening of normative judgement is a goal for investigating the issues of justice, efficiency, rights and capabilities (among other key notions). The treatment of immanent norms in society and behavior, and their coupling with voluntarily crafted and enacted norms, is a major methodological issue as well in economics, philosophy and related disciplines. Moreover, economic (or economic-sensitive) norms play a major role in the frameworks of government, administration and institutional design. These are classical concerns of economic philosophy and the Review of Economic Philosophy welcomes new and original contributions dealing with them. It welcomes innovative inquiries about the impact of developments in economic life and/or economic science in these respects, as well as developments in ethics and politics and the philosophy of belief, institution, knowledge and action.

Papers in English by non-French speakers and writers are welcome. The typescript must be original: the article should not have been previously published and should not be under consideration by another journal. Papers are due by December 31, 2018. The Journal will only consider manuscripts in excellent French or English. Instructions for contributors are available at http://www.vrin.fr and  http://www.greqam.fr/en/publications/review-philo

Revue de Philosophie Economique/Review of Economic Philosophy is accessible on CAIRN database. All published articles undergo double-blind peer refereeing, with initial and final screening by the Editors. The Revue’s thematic issues are issued once a year (recent special issues focused on experimental economics, critical realism and environmental justice, for instance) and second yearly issues are miscellaneous varia. A special issue will be a selection of the best papers submitted for this Call. Please send proposals by December 31, 2018. Address any queries to the Editorial Board.
